What to bring: Your camera with printed manual, fully charged batteries, and a card with memory to spare. Tripod and external flash great but optional.
Topics: manual mode as well as the aperture and shutter priority modes; menu and resetting defaults

What you will learn: We begin with all the material in Camera Basics (see above) learning how to use the three creative modes. i.e. the Manual mode as well as the Shutter Priority and the Aperture Priority modes.
Then we use these techniques to improve your landscape, action, macro, and portrait photography. Composition and lighting techniques will also be included with each topic.
We also include a field trip to a local area.
e.g. Eco-Museum, Arboretum, Centennial Park.

Who should attend: You should already have a BASIC understanding of your camera i.e. how to load card, download images, and access the menu or you have completed a 'Camera Basics' course.
What you will learn: Techniques on how to use available light indoors and outdoors; direct vs. soft lighting; how to use reflectors; effective use of built-in and add-on flashes (direct, bounced) and demo on multiple flashes.
Posing tips for individuals, couples and groups.
Method: Demos , hands-on exercises , assignments

Add-on flash is important. Tripod optional.
