 What you will learn: We begin with all the material in Camera Basics  i.e. learning how to use the three creative modes.: the Manual mode as well as the Shutter Priority and the Aperture Priority modes.  We will also explore your camera menu and re-set some defaults.

 Learn about creating selective-focus shots, freezing, blurring and panning action and getting the most from from your built-in flash.

Topics: You will  use these techniques to improve your landscape, action, and portrait photography.

Other topics include composition, lighting, and creative silhouettes.

For your final lesson choose between  a field trip to a local area. e.g. Eco-Museum, Arboretum, Centennial Park.

OR a Photoshop lesson where you will create a ready-to-print collage.

Who should attend: You should already have a BASIC understanding of your camera i.e. Aperture, Shutter  and ISO or  you have completed a  'Camera Basics' course.

What you will learn: 

- Techniques on how to use available light indoors and outdoors

- When to use direct vs. soft lighting

- How to use reflectors

-  How to find good lighting 

- How to turn harsh unflattering light into beautiful light

- Posing tips for individuals, couples and groups

- On-camera and off camera flash tips

- Using the constant light system

Method:  Demos, handouts, plus hands-on exercises both indoors in the studio and outdoors, weather permitting.
